the mk18 has a 10.4 inch barrel

close combat you don't need a full length barrel

SA80s were designed more for close combat

hence why the SUSAT scope is fucking shit

you need a light gun with easy reloads and easy target acquisition

litteraly is a needle

so while yes the sa80 is a GREAT GUN

it is not a great military rifle

there is a motto for gun builders around the world

kiss keep it simple stupid

you need to make a gun that can be easily trained on and can be used by the most
