I think most fat people know they're fat, though, yknow? And they take the concern about their health as patronising

I'm overweight and recognise it's a problem, which is why I've been losing weight and trying to cut down on food
I know that smoking kills but that doesn't stop me from smoking but it does stop me from promoting it as a healthy way of life and to critize me is a hate crime.

OK, but rabies is actually super fucking terrifying. It's actually fairly common in the wild with like 1/20 bats tested being shown to carry it, and by the time symptoms show up you're fuckind ded.

You slowly start losing your mind as your brain deteriorates and you're reduced to your more base instincts causing constant paranoia, fear, and being easily startled by simple things like footsteps and lights turning on. And you're not able to understand what's happening either by that point because your brain is so fucked
