America should implement a single payer system
GG @The Meme Lord, you just advanced to level 4!
*For healthcare
No
It would expand coverage to every American while reducing net healthcare costs by $2 Trillion over a decade
I don't care those fat republicans can die
That would mean the average middle class family would see their after tax income go up by over $3,000
I am for a single payer system, but it probably won't happen because of conservatism in this country
Fine with me
Probably but it’s stilk worth striving for
Ehh I'd rather see them die, they're the ones mostly opposing this, they tend to be poorer too
I think it's funny how they talk about income tax when republicans tend to be not as educated and live in poorer states
And America effectively has a flat tax
The group that pays the lowest taxes as a percent of income is the Top 400 earners. They pay even less than those in poverty
Conservatism will bring this country down, because these stubborn patriots believe progress is liberal
Yeah it's easier for people with more money to pay less in income tax, because they have other ways to manage their money
Tax advantaged accounts
A lot of Americans live check to check
Yeah it’s just that I know so many conservatives who say “Well it’s really the poor who aren’t paying their fair share”
So the logical thing to say to that is raise income taxes on lower and middle class to help the broader consensus afford basic things
But they're not ready for that, they have opposing interests
damn
thanks for sharing
If we're honest, a lot middle America's money just goes to paying the bills, not much else they're spending it on, they save whatever little they can
Yeah
It's tough
Not because the logic isn't there, but because people stick to what's comfortable
the bottom 40% contribute less than 10% of the overall tax income
