No, WeChat is china's mobile social media platform. But its common these days that money (RMB) are transferred and use as a payment system. You can pay for anything using the WeChat system, and even beggers have smart phones to accept money that way
Oh no i dont think so . if Wechat is regulated by goverment if thats the case since social media is "unofficially" being monitored.
But since China is doing a lot of business in Africa, especially SA. they've recently enabled exchanging money in that region.
we borrow money from china allot . and its causing them to buy property's and invest in infrastructure
Everything from china is heavily monitored. the biggest thing is, so long as you dont talk smack about china, they largely ignore you.
you can say the most off the hook stuff on there, the chinese truely doesnt care

if our people start talking about Taiwan as a independant Nation in africa China cuts 3 billion $ in projects for the next year
