As a trans person, myself I see a LOT wrong with gender identity bullshit. I don't need to "own" my transness... I just wanna be me, female. I know that'll never fully, genetically happen(this isn't Deep Space 9 after all) but to suddenly leap WAAAY over the trans thing to start pushing non-cis genderisms... Well that see s like a sneaky way to eventually disown Trans people from the opression stack-err 'scuse me "progressive stack" by "priveledgeing" them with cis-genderhood....

Sex is the biology of genetalia
Gender is the "fashion" of your sex...

A trans person is /mostly/ trans-gender because, biologically, they will always be the sex they were born. They have simply transitioned into the opposing sexes accepted gender fashion... Even if they go as far as genetial reassignment.

For the most part, yes... But there's an awkward teen phase, if you will, to the process... Years of taking the other sexes hormones... There does need to be an identifying process for it... Hence TRANSitioning gender.

most cases I've seen online take less than 6 months. After that they usually choose to do more or not
