2020-03-05 22:15:12 UTC

Everything is spied upon by corporations and there is nothing to escape.

2020-03-05 22:17:28 UTC

windows 10 is spyware too

2020-03-05 22:18:04 UTC

@Louis XIV (aka 1685Violin) Make an effort to stop using nonfree software entirely. No windows, no avast, no steam. Only use Free software. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btHano6wHgA

@vexmasina44 Partially correct, with intel having the management engine and AMD having the Platform Security Processor, but Nvidia doesn't have a subsytem. Nvidia has graphics drivers that are non-free and these are optional on linux/unix as we have the nouveau driver for general desktop use and the cuda driver for math/calculations. With the two subsystems, although both of these do have the potential to give intelligence agencies our data since they can be logged into remotely and they have read/write acess for all storage devices these are rarely used to collect data as they already have it from social media and OSes that are under the prism program. The Managment engine can be effectly disabled on most modern computers (pre skylake) with ME_cleaner. Additionally, older core series intel boards can have the entire bios replaced with libreboot resulting in an entirely open source computer. With AMD and modern intel boards the solution is to just not buy them. For complete escape from corporations (which is an entirely unncessary preemptive measure) you can get a computer like talos II or Socionext developerbox (extremely expensive).

Yeah I don't mind them looking through my files, but the encrypted screencaps, stylometric fingerprinting, and other forms of traffic analysis are pretty fucked up.

Turkey is pushing their luck.

2020-03-07 18:18:15 UTC

Realistically what is Greece going to do about this? call Nato?

2020-03-07 18:20:11 UTC

More than likely it will call upon the Balkins.

2020-03-07 18:20:47 UTC

Turkey made a lot of enemies in Nato. If they keep doing this shit there is a chance to boot out the Turks.

2020-03-07 18:20:55 UTC

Think about it the Balkins all would love to get rid of the Turks.

2020-03-07 18:21:07 UTC

Hm, we could take time to annex Northern Cyprus.

2020-03-07 18:21:41 UTC

If the Greek's are smart they could launch some incursons into Turkish held lands on the Inonian coastline and the Islands.

2020-03-07 18:21:49 UTC

Other European countries are sending help in form of border security personel to Greek border.

2020-03-07 18:22:01 UTC

Cyprus might kick off something you can't control. If I was Greece I would threaten to leave the EU and not pay debts if no help is provided.
