@EYEFORKNOWLEDGE156 assuming the target tank vulnerable to top attack, this just means you have to fire more than one projectile at a time
I mean you want to get the job done in the lowest amount of shots possible though
doesn't the javelin missile require line of sight for target acquisition
it says the effective range is like 1.5 miles, but i dont know if that is the launcher or the missile
I think it does require line of sight
the launcher requires an IR target
Yeah
so they probably use more than one at a time anyways
Ah
super dangerous, just give it to your hezbollah allies or w/e
imagine carrying that in a combat situation
the worst part about fighting a near peer adversary today is that their tank have laser warning recivers and can determine where the missile is coming from really quick
so carrying multiple javelins sounds like a rather bad idea, the moment the 1st shot is fired
the AT crew is in danger
the javelin is asymmetric so they probably dont fire them at every possible target
They say in the video that since the javelin doesnβt use lasers itβs harder for active protection to pick up
they dont have to use lasers in order to be found out
the tank has onboard radar aswell
only the newest ones
Interesting
also russians have outfitted all their tank destroyer vehicles to carry multiple atgms
what does the atgm have to do with it
the russians pretty much inveted the APS system
they know the main weakness of it is if you fire multiple missiles or rockets to destroy the tank
what does the agtm have to do with the top attack situation
makes no sense
Because aps can be used against atgms
i dont understand
the conversation is about top attack
