If Europe and America take all the migrants, Israel doesn't have to.
I actually have a theory that the main reason nationalism is gaining popularity in America is the European migrant crisis. Most white normies were totally fine with American status quo immigration rates because they had in the back of their heads that Europe would stay a vast-majority-white zoo that they could visit, and maybe even escape to should worst come to worst.

Especially if (1.) the beliefs are not considered seriously but absorbed through cultural osmosis, and/or (2.) the beliefs violate their fundamental personality traits.

I think the "right wingers, even if they have beliefs that result in big government, just cannot admit that fact" definitely checks those boxes.
@DrocsidInReverse **While someone like me can recognize the utility of the state and its organization as merely a vehicle, which can certainly be abused but also can serve as a means to good ends at least, the Right views the size and scope of this vehicle as the political spectrum itself. They may be fine with Social Security and Medicare, which is funny because that's not libertarian but once you say “We need a powerful state that would fix university curriculum which is dominated by leftism, promote the nuclear family through monetary and social incentives, and to end immigration”, they might have the reaction of “Whoa whoa. Settle down there. You don’t need to pay for other people's children. That's socialism and when I was in my 20s, raising a family was cheap and college is a ripoff anyway. Also, we need LEGAL immigration, just not illegal immigration!” **
