@Despot Romanicus the Enslaver lolberts may actually have a sober understanding of power they are just afraid of it or position themselves against it

2020-04-05 22:12:34 UTC

They will consume in silence just like the rest of the Non-Despoilers

2020-04-05 22:19:20 UTC

2020-04-05 22:19:43 UTC

2020-04-05 22:19:56 UTC

@Fasces as well

2020-04-05 22:29:57 UTC

Gway

2020-04-05 23:19:16 UTC

My theory, for some of them at least, is less state corruption or towering over the minority, and more that they dislike the state because it can create laws and security, more specifically laws that can *outlaw* what they personally, morally, or economically want

I think the libertarian/ancap “child slave/soldier” meme (which implies decadence) is probably more truthful than some realize

2020-04-05 23:34:41 UTC

I think there's a more right-leaning mindset that goes into libertarianism, combined with a more left-leaning mindset. That's the more left-leaning side.

2020-04-06 00:32:40 UTC

The biggest issue with a libertarian mindset is that they see power as the source of trouble rather than a tool wielded by whoever gets his hands on to it

2020-04-06 00:32:59 UTC

Think of it in terms of guns

2020-04-06 00:33:41 UTC

Guns don't kill people, people with guns kill people and good people with guns can make a difference

2020-04-06 00:34:50 UTC

Power doesn't fuck you over, the people in charge fuck you over.

2020-04-06 00:36:13 UTC

Right, if your mindset is guns are always causing wars, got to get rid of all the guns, you're going to end up losing a lot of wars fast

2020-04-06 00:36:25 UTC

You're not empowering them by letting quarantine happen. The fact they're happening despite the cries of libertarians show power had already been posessed and didn't need to be handed

2020-04-06 00:38:56 UTC

If anything we should put forward positive things that governments ought to do, call them out for things they didn't do

2020-04-06 00:39:44 UTC

When we call them out doing something it has to be for a good reason

2020-04-06 01:21:10 UTC

@Mr. Nessel yea and smart libertarias realize that which is why the libertarian to alt right pipeline exists

2020-04-06 01:21:17 UTC

Or hoppe

The More Order we have within ourselves the less order we need from outside forces. A Homogenous Society that is hard working, morally upright, and has a strong civil society would not need as much government intervention then one where everything is getting broken apart. But even in a perfect society i still think the government can do good things for its people and for collective action where individuals cant do it themselves. Going to the moon was something only the collective manpower and resources of the government could of done for example

2020-04-06 02:23:15 UTC

2020-04-06 09:29:12 UTC

I think order within oneself for most people depends on external circumstances. People are creatures of their time so the majority who are incapable of getting closer to a life in line with all that is good true and beautifull need people who are willing to push them to be like that

2020-04-06 09:29:56 UTC

If we were all free thinkers society would've collapsed ages ago so I don't really blame them for being like that

2020-04-06 09:31:04 UTC

Society should be treated as one organism which needs to be holistically kept in good health. It doesn't matter if most cells are healthy when there's a cancer spreading etc.

2020-04-06 13:02:11 UTC

Useless fact of the day:
If your reverse Xerxes's name you get SEXREX

2020-04-06 15:36:29 UTC

What a Chad

2020-04-06 18:03:18 UTC

vc?

2020-04-06 19:13:20 UTC

@Mr. Nessel I Agree 100%. I was just saying that when you have Stable Families, A Strong Moral Foundation, and a Healthy Community you can have a orderly society without much government intervention (But as i said even in a perfect society id still have the gov doing things). For a mini example but like people saying "Thank You", or conducting themselves with Class. This isnt something the government can really force but with the right inner morality and people being brought up by their parents, religious institutions etc to conduct themselves in a certain way we can have these more immaterial attuites of our civilization be brought about that cant really be brought about by force.

2020-04-06 19:23:17 UTC

Stable families, morals and strong communities create good government

2020-04-06 19:23:28 UTC

Not the other way around

2020-04-06 19:38:06 UTC

> Stable families, morals and strong communities create good government
@kongzi That's true but bad government can destroy families and communities. Which makes it more likely that people will not develop good morals.

2020-04-06 20:27:48 UTC

Well there needs to be some sort of force in place to prevent people from falling into societal immorality

2020-04-06 20:27:53 UTC

Government should be that force

2020-04-06 20:29:48 UTC

@Felix the Monarchist you got the government surveillance app yet?

2020-04-06 20:30:12 UTC

@DarkEagle553 Pft.

Which one?

2020-04-06 20:30:22 UTC

>Well there needs to be some sort of force in place to prevent people from falling into societal immoralityWell there needs to be some sort of force in place to prevent people from falling into societal immorality
So, are you moral or immoral?

2020-04-06 20:30:27 UTC

Ah just the plans of austrian gov

2020-04-06 20:31:21 UTC

What’s wrong with telling people what to do?

2020-04-06 20:31:24 UTC

https://www.fbi.gov/news/apps/fitnessapp Come on the FBI fitness app is the best

2020-04-06 20:31:32 UTC

I’m technically immoral because I’m not perfect, no one is

But that doesn’t mean that we should *allow* immorality to run rampant in our society
