Seatbelts don't ruduce total deaths. They just make the driver feel safer, so they drive more recklessly and kill more pedestrians.

1- if seatbelts are that important, then why are two wheelers legal.
2- the law might not improve road safety but the seatbelt likely does. Making it mandatory is preaching to the choir and won't convince the ones that already don't put it on.
