Of course you would need mask-laws to make them unmask. I think there are laws like that in some states.

But you don‘t a lot about that because protests there tend to stay non violent...

The argument against it would be that it might get used to suppress political opposition if the government can identify protesters.

But there have to be a lot of other things wrong in your country if it gets to that point.

That sounds like a good way to handle the mask stuff, banning masks altogether is sketchy, but making charges more intense when using one sounds like a good compromise
