i don't think i would support drug testing for welfare
can't some drugs be detected months after last use ?
Yes I think so
well if its ;legal then you have no worry right
and if its prescribed then whats the problem unless you want to hide something my point
big thing here in my area is people will sell their food stamps for drugs
but leaving someone without safety net because they smoke crack 6 months ago or something when they still had job would be icky
well then wait till its out of your system to apply
What are you supposed to do keep giving them stamps to sell for more drugs
honestly, i'm more on the side of decriminalizing all drugs but if you take them ,you loose SOME benefits like some forms of state paid medical care or so
plus this system is for current people using welfare not applicants
like if you take something that is destroying your lungs, you gotta pay your medical bills for these kind of problems etc
im for legaliztion as well just dont expect me the tax payer to pay for your addiction
i'm speaking very broadly but you get the idea, and i can see where you coming from
I don't think legalizing drugs like cocaine is good idea I think it would normalize it and would be easy for more people to get addicted
honeslty i beileve only poeple who should be in prison are hard core crimanals like rapist murders and assualters
people who are a direct threat to safety
well they wil get addicted anyway so why house someone for something they will do no matter what
not like persecuting someone who takes drugs helps anything but waste resources
exactly
instead money wasted on persecution we can try actually helping addicts
for example
Getting rid of for profit prisons would help a lot too.
all you do with crimainalizing drugs is you make it the welfare system with a criminal record
obviosly under very strict conditions, not just anyone could apply that would be waste as well
i mean who would want cure addication could but not by default
problem is only the addict can cure their addiction
yes
take my family for example most are heavy drinkers
that's why it would be waste to instead prosecuting putting people into anti addiction programs isntead etc
I used to smoke and that was hard to kick.
im just saying jailing people for a addiction only makes the welfare part hardeer
i stopped smoking 3rd time about 8 months ago
u still dont smoke?
yea
i know people who purpusfully got caught with drugs so they could be sent to prision to get rehab treatment
good shit
and congrats
thanks
ok lets keep this debate train going universal health care yes or no
