I think you'd like that link I posted. Particularly if you watch the Feminist side. You can see how they move and react. It's because they're specifically taught to organize and seize power.
And the link is a book review of the manuals the left uses to seize and control power and influence.
And the books reviewed are discussed in Gender Studies courses and the like.
which link?
The big weakness, IMO, is that there's no discussion of what ordinary people do and can do on the side of the left.
search for RULES FOR RADICALS.
thats where memes come in
ah yea ive seen that before
memetic warfare began in gamergate
The book Rules for Radicals is bad. I posted a quote from a link criticizing it.
But I don't want to circulate the link too much so I'm not reposting it directly here.
well, we will see what happens i suppose
but most people seem convinced that its the institutions themselves that are the problem and new ones need to be built
The issue with that strategy is that you're always going to be fighting an uphill battle.
New institutions could be a good solution, if you can build them, but they'll probably always be smaller and always under attack.
I'm not saying not to do it, but don't yield the center too fast. Try it, but don't just give up on the mainstream ones first.
i agree, but the problem is like yall said before
we dont know how deep the rabbit hole of control actually goes until its pushed to that point
Which is why I was saying it's probably key to figure out how to get the people on the inside to be enabled. But also don't be afraid to hit whole institutions.
Also, don't underestimate the value of *simply collecting people*
Particularly those who can do something. And keep a very expansive definition of "something" and make that "something" easy whenever possible. Just avoid crossing certain lines (Swatting, harassing, overt racism/sexism, etc.)
i mean i agree
@My Preferred Pronoun Is Sama if we dont know how deep down the rabbit hole of "coontrol" goes, are we even sure of how shallow it is? That is, is there even the collective concerted control your perceiving real to begin with?
I guess I'm saying, look for openings and try and discuss actual tactics and moves. And don't be afraid to take a very close examination of GamerGate and ComicsGate and figure out *exactly* how it seemed to play out and what has been learned since the events took place.
Read the link I was mentioning earlier for some ideas. But it's not exhaustive.
well, i dont think its paranoia
The lesson is, the left gains power mechanistically. Everyone else just gets really pissed off when they abuse it, but have no idea how to fight back because they don't understand the mechanisms.
"cargo cult activism" I think is the words used.
considering india, EU countries, and america are all accusing twitter of shenangeins for example
likewise, corporations claim to be afraid of the sjws, and are listening to a small majority
People who don't understand the mechanisms try and copy the parts they see, but neglect the parts they can't.
but the truth is, they laugh at people who even try to complain
so its more likely its used as an excuse to push leftist propaganda
and there can never be another youtube or another facebook etc
Exactly. The vocal SJWs are just giving latitude to the people inside the organizations. And they form a pile-on mob quickly and intimidate anyone who would oppose them.
Yeah, I think we should have regulated Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, etc. years ago. But no one seems interested in doing it. And every time I made the argument, it devolved into pointless bickering about "the government" and "private companies"
The right is it's own worst enemy.
more like sjws like to tattle and live on twitter all day because they are unemployed
I wouldn't be so sure.
mmeaning that they have all the time in their world
but tattling from anyone else has zero effect
