Im a heavy sleeper

2018-05-03 10:09:05 UTC

I was thinking about monty pythons the life of brian last night.. and how they faced a lot of backlash from the religious community and almost got banned... but ultimately the media stood up for comedy saying "its just a bit of fun" ... I wonder if they would have the same reaction today if it was "the life of mahmood"

2018-05-03 10:10:49 UTC

I mean obviously if it featured mohammed then its instantly a no-go .. but if it was a similar story - but no depiction of the prophet

2018-05-03 10:26:43 UTC

"Its the Judea people's front!"
"Its the people's front of Judea!"

2018-05-03 10:27:02 UTC

*fighting ensues*

2018-05-03 10:27:45 UTC

I noticed last night they put all the monty python films and series on netflix... might have to watch life of brian again 😃

2018-05-03 10:45:49 UTC

I remember this story from when I was really young... I remember my mum being really sad about it http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-43987079?ocid=socialflow_twitter&ns_source=twitter&ns_campaign=bbcnews&ns_mchannel=social

2018-05-03 10:46:18 UTC

but who is appealing for a dead guy?

2018-05-03 12:22:20 UTC

did you watch sargon's recent speech on marxism?

2018-05-03 12:25:00 UTC

#VoteLabour is trending in my country :/

2018-05-03 12:25:28 UTC

its so weird the detatchment from twitter/twitter polls - and real life voting... its like polar opposite

2018-05-03 12:29:45 UTC

@wacka linky?

2018-05-03 12:32:48 UTC

to what? twitter?

2018-05-03 12:32:58 UTC

oh the sargon vid?

2018-05-03 12:51:42 UTC

oh interesting... getting some disruptions in the UK today after they rolled out ID checks in voter booths

2018-05-03 12:52:13 UTC

can literally be anything... even a debit card

2018-05-03 12:52:24 UTC

and still people are furious :/

2018-05-03 12:55:04 UTC

All you white ameritard and europedo people are going to be refugees living in tents in my backyard in australia in a few decades

2018-05-03 12:55:26 UTC

thx for the offer

2018-05-03 13:00:59 UTC

its strange they point out that "hardly any voter fraud is going on so why do it."... but surely thats the best time to implement something like a basic ID check... surely if there is already a lot of voter fraud going on, then it would be harder to implement... nip it in the bud as they say

2018-05-03 13:01:33 UTC

like.. I would say in the US.. its already too late.. maybe?

2018-05-03 13:06:04 UTC

There's enough known voter fraud going on to make it worthwhile. With elections happening on razer thin margins at the moment as everyone is so split it doesn't take a lot of fraud to flip elections

2018-05-03 13:09:22 UTC

looks like theres only a small pocket of ISIS in the south of Damascus now, final rebels bussed out

2018-05-03 13:10:22 UTC

gov is rolling in tanks as we speak... also a couple of heli's around

2018-05-03 13:12:13 UTC

jeez theyre annihilating the place https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWfG1P3bRH8

2018-05-03 13:14:50 UTC

Im not sure if a single MSM outlet reported evidence given by that kid (hassan?) at the hague

2018-05-03 13:20:51 UTC

Im not sure if Ive read the translation correctly.. but it sounds like this article is saying there will be a staged chemical attack in Deir ez-Zor? ...Will be interesting if we see a "chemical attack" happen in the near future https://www.bfm.ru/news/383912?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=v-sirii-gotovitsya-novaya-provokatsiya-s-hi

2018-05-03 13:23:46 UTC

also rebels just surrendered in north homs

2018-05-03 14:02:51 UTC
2018-05-03 14:13:40 UTC

gotta love MSM
BBC News - Virgin media to cut 800 jobs
Sky News - Virgin media to Axe 500 jobs
BBC news wales - Virgin media to cut 700 jobs

2018-05-03 14:17:01 UTC

The actual news is that theyre closing 8 call centres ... and theyre just estimating the number of people... I dont know why they dont just go with the headline: Virgin Media closing 8 call centres

2018-05-03 14:17:33 UTC

because 8 is a smaller number

2018-05-03 14:18:51 UTC

but how far does it go... if 800ppl lose their jobs - thats potentially 800 families .. could they use the headline saying it will affect thousands of people - even if its indirectly ... how far does it go

2018-05-03 14:19:14 UTC

as far as it needs to to sell headlines

2018-05-03 14:19:51 UTC

but the BBC is funded from taxes - they have no adverts - no requirements to "sell" anything

2018-05-03 14:21:29 UTC

I wonder if its deeper than that... like its just how people are trained now or something?

2018-05-03 14:22:00 UTC

like theyre not even trying to sell consciously.. its just "this is how to write articles"

2018-05-03 14:23:11 UTC

of course the BBC needs to sell itself, the people are starting to rebel against taxes being used to fund it because its so not a news place anymore
