In the US prices are extremely high
It would be even higher if we had universal
Not really i know a plan that is $60
Diabetics have to skip insulin doses because insulin costs so damn much
GG @Andrew_Hunter, you just advanced to level 7!
Not if you have insurance.
If we implemented it, we Americans would need to be paying 62% more dollars in income taxes
Taxes is already pretty bad
The taxes alone would cost us as well.
Universal health care is not free.
@Make America Great Again many people can’t afford insurance
Also a lot of doctors would leave the health field
If you don't have a job sure if you do then yes.
@sarge taxes are the lowest they’ve been since the 1920s!
Doctors would be making less and quality at hospitals would decrease
Where do you live
California
That explains your views
It depends on where you live
Taxes are bad
Not every Californian is a liberal
If we get universal healthcare in US, my family wouldnt make enough to sustain itself
Taxes also cost money. It would be better just to buy a plan which is cheaper here.
62% more taxes on income. Thats like more than half of your paycheck gone to healthcare
Is it really that worth it? No
@sarge Medicare should be allowed to negotiate prescription drug prices to keep them low
Thats what I want, but having free healthcare is fantasy
@Andrew_Hunter which will lower the doctors pay as well as the amount of money research america has for medicine.
Drug companies do rip us off on the cost
The prices of prescription drugs these days are just downright unethical
We also have a group of people who take care of that.
Look at Skrelli and congress.
Shkrelli*
I believe the government should regulate the prices of medicine. But universal healthcare is a socialist unreal fantasy
The USA is different from tiny European countries.
True and we have much more infrastructure
I don’t believe it’s acceptable for thousands to die every year because they can’t afford medical care
Ok but universal healthcare isnt the solution
They can they just don't want to fork over the 60 bucks a month for it and aren't smart enough to get health care at 18
