why do you think the royalty family sponsored merchants
So they did sponsor merchants??
???
Also here are my five sources
Like Hobbes would reference in his *Leviathan*, the King does not get rich if he does not make his kingdom rich.
The crown doesn't control all the economic power, he doesn't dictate trading policy
He just says "here's some money, now go get me some good shit on the way home"
Even nobles did this
They would send one of their serf to a neighboring noble's land to see if there were any product of value
and bring back home
It's how Marco Polo's story even got started
He borrowed some money and got a ship to China
He didn't borrow money from the Crown
The Crown already has too much bureaucracy to handle banking so it devolved into local banking institutes or guilds.
They just want to tax
The rise of the middle class in the form of guild system existed during feudalism
The only REAL free market existed long before feudalism but in the early history of man
Where government did not care if there was a monopoly, where they did not care about abusing laborers and cutting maintenance cost on slaves

No
What
why isn't there an alt right role ?
Because there also isn’t a radical left role.
doesnt even make sense to have alt-right
since they are just conservative
just in different origins
actually
There's like 4 waves of Conservatives currently alive.
all 4 with different origins ofc
One rallied around Eisenhower and he's your conspiracy theorist type along with forming the moderate Republican base, (and Nixon copied this style but got watergate'd so likely this wave doesn't exist anymore)
You got the Moral Majority which was a political backlash by religious organizations over second-wave feminism.
rallying around Reagan
Then there's the alt-right which backlashed over fourth-wave feminism (2005s+) rallying around Trump
and then you have the usual outlier with the Conservation Republicans (pro-business in long-term growth)
who rallied around McKinley and T. Roosevelt(mainly Roosevelt)
