Trump spent around $80-100 million in total last time I checked. Hillary some $1.2 billion to $2 billion

I am embarrassed that my country donated $25 million to the Clinton campaign

and I will never not vote in a federal election ever

the electoral college is simultaneously a very good and a very wack thing

But you don't have the votes across the rest of the country

I find the Electoral College an interesting idea

it's wack because you think "wait, more people liked you but you still lost?!"

but then you realize

"oh, a lot of those areas were echo chambers"

I've seen videos where they teach children that America is a Democracy

And I'm like "..Wut?"

I would call the US

a half-democracy

Well, it's a form of Democracy

the only question i have is the different rules around the electors votes. some have them vote whatever they want, others are winner of the popular in the state takes all. i don't know if there is one that splits them up roughly off the popular results. like 60 40 if that was the popular
