it was towards the "Muhajereen" which are the people who got kicked out of their hometown "Mecca" simply because they chose to follow Mohammed's message (Islam), their houses were robbed and family members were tortured, so God gave them the chance to get what was their's in the first place back.
Furhtermore, Deuteronomy is in the old testament, and it is no longer necessary for Christians to follow mandates in the old testament. They were absolved of these regulations when Christ died
@Othman Islam is only an amazing book if you prescribe to religious warfare. Which isn't something I inherently see as bad. But it's not something you can ignore
