Both are very anti establishment

2018-05-31 11:53:37 UTC

in a liberal way?

2018-05-31 11:53:51 UTC

or just a "the system needs a change" way?

2018-05-31 11:54:10 UTC

5 star is definitely the later

2018-05-31 11:54:43 UTC

(by liberal I just mean less government)

2018-05-31 11:55:05 UTC

Yeah 5 star is not that

2018-05-31 11:55:13 UTC

They want socialist policies

2018-05-31 11:55:45 UTC

so left-liberal

2018-05-31 11:55:45 UTC

I think one of those is the state guaranteed income meme

2018-05-31 11:56:07 UTC

That actualy was in their coalition treaty

2018-05-31 11:56:14 UTC

I was againt universal income at first... but recently I changed my mind

2018-05-31 11:56:35 UTC

wut

2018-05-31 11:56:40 UTC

u gotta be kiddin

2018-05-31 11:57:23 UTC

so at first I was like... all that will do is recent what zero mean.. so like.. if everyone gets $400 and theres no welfare... eventually $400 will be the new zero - as inflation skyrockets

2018-05-31 11:57:27 UTC

😔

2018-05-31 11:57:44 UTC

I wish i was kidding lol

2018-05-31 11:58:06 UTC

which will be terrible for the poor... BUT... as a country it will be able to import good very cheaply - and the companies within the country will make huge profits

2018-05-31 11:58:35 UTC

universal basic income has to come from some place

2018-05-31 11:58:42 UTC

it would come from people that actually work

2018-05-31 11:58:46 UTC

so basically... universal income will be reeeeally bad for the poor... but for everyone else who works it will be great!

2018-05-31 11:58:49 UTC

then those ppl would just go to other country

2018-05-31 11:58:58 UTC

then there would be no money for universal basic income

2018-05-31 11:59:09 UTC

Dozens of people in Italy turned up at job centres to demand the guaranteed minimum income promised by the Five Star Movement – despite the fact that the party is not even in government yet.

The anti-establishment party’s campaign promise of a minimum monthly salary of €780 (£695) was credited by many analysts as one of the reasons it achieved such a resounding victory in southern Italy, where youth unemployment can exceed 50 per cent.

2018-05-31 11:59:23 UTC

why would people move to another country?

2018-05-31 11:59:47 UTC

because in order to give free money to lazy slobs u gotta heavily tax useful ppl

2018-05-31 11:59:48 UTC

at the moment you are paying for welfare and getting nothing... with universal income you still pay the same... but you get some back

2018-05-31 11:59:50 UTC

and they wont like it

2018-05-31 12:00:00 UTC

no u dont pay the same

2018-05-31 12:00:03 UTC

only some ppl are in welfare

2018-05-31 12:00:11 UTC

with universal basic income it would be A LOT of ppl

2018-05-31 12:00:19 UTC

im against welfare anyway

2018-05-31 12:00:31 UTC

yeah... but this is what they are saying... they wont increase the welfare budget

2018-05-31 12:00:50 UTC

theyll get rid of all the admin involved and pay out to everyone an average

2018-05-31 12:01:13 UTC

Its a very bad idea

2018-05-31 12:01:29 UTC

prob just a lie to get the poor ppl to vote for them

2018-05-31 12:01:54 UTC

take the US for example... their medicare budget per capita is $8508 per person.... but in the UK theres no admin... so its only $3500 per capita and everyone gets healthcare

2018-05-31 12:02:04 UTC

Well in any case italy has economic rules in their constitution

2018-05-31 12:02:13 UTC

And the plans broke those

2018-05-31 12:02:20 UTC

so its actually cheaper

2018-05-31 12:02:35 UTC

and runs more smoothly
