Lmao i doubt she could get a job at starbucks.

2018-06-13 20:57:16 UTC

I supose it doesnt really matter, there are tons of things she could put in the law suit

2018-06-13 20:57:27 UTC

Defamation of character would be the easiest one I could think of

2018-06-13 20:59:29 UTC

you'd still have to prove an impact to her earnings or future earnings to get any award, though. unfortunately its hard to put a finger on the fact that half or more of the private sector won't hire her and neither will the public/gov sector because it would be very political.

2018-06-13 21:00:13 UTC

She will never get hired by a state/government agency.

2018-06-13 21:05:15 UTC

whelp... looks like Tommy Robinson will be dead soon

2018-06-13 21:06:23 UTC

F

2018-06-13 21:06:33 UTC

As far as I'm aware there are no universities in Canada that would uphold the principles of the Chicago Letter, and none want the risk of hiring a person like Shepherd. I doubt she could find someone as a PhD advisor.

2018-06-13 21:06:52 UTC

Says that suit claims that someone told her " showing the clip was illegal under human rights law"

2018-06-13 21:06:59 UTC

this seems very simple and easy to prove

2018-06-13 21:07:08 UTC

That's in the recording as far as I'm aware.

2018-06-13 21:07:25 UTC

So either A it is illegal under human rights law to question laws

2018-06-13 21:07:35 UTC

or B The university/person has stepped beyond thier bounds

2018-06-13 21:07:39 UTC

Bill C-16?

2018-06-13 21:08:06 UTC

Canada does not have free speech, so it's possible that the law could be interpreted that way.

2018-06-13 21:08:11 UTC

They dont say, just that showing the clip was Illegal under human rights laws

2018-06-13 21:08:41 UTC

Now the university has to argue one of those two points in court

2018-06-13 21:11:46 UTC

I want them to hang that person out to dry to make an example of her

2018-06-13 21:12:16 UTC

However i doubt it will come to that, theyll probably try to settle before they have to get involved in this free speech debate that puts peterson back in the spotlight

2018-06-13 21:23:25 UTC

@Atkins She fought back by publishing a secret recording. Shes going on the offensive by suing now

2018-06-13 21:23:35 UTC

in any fight bad shit happens

2018-06-13 21:23:42 UTC

im unemployable in a shitload of jobs

2018-06-13 21:23:44 UTC

publicity does that

2018-06-13 21:24:11 UTC

She should not have had to fight anything because universities should not be political indoctrination centers.

2018-06-13 21:24:31 UTC

Yeah its just impossible to explain that legitimately because there's no proof.

2018-06-13 21:24:52 UTC

So her choices where say something and fight back and get ruined, or go along with the political indoctrination.

2018-06-13 21:25:08 UTC

right

2018-06-13 21:25:21 UTC

shes fighting back and she will be surrounded by eh collateral damage of that

2018-06-13 21:25:25 UTC

I'm saying it's bullshit to say it's her own fault for fighting back.

2018-06-13 21:25:30 UTC

I really dont think she will win the suit but Laurier will likely settle

2018-06-13 21:25:31 UTC

It's victim blaming.

2018-06-13 21:25:46 UTC

personal responsibility and choosing your battles

2018-06-13 21:26:10 UTC

and this isnt even a pyrrhic victory

2018-06-13 21:26:19 UTC

side note

2018-06-13 21:26:22 UTC

Whatever buzzwords you choose to call it, atkins, it is what it is. Tim isn't making up the rules.

2018-06-13 21:26:25 UTC

new merch will start appearing on my channel

2018-06-13 21:27:12 UTC

beanies for everyone

2018-06-13 21:29:05 UTC

If choosing your battles means keeping silent and allowing political indoctrination to go unchallenged, what battle should she have chosen to fight instead?

2018-06-13 21:29:57 UTC

Just keep her head down, finish her masters, then keep her head down and stay on the PhD track, then keep her head down and try to get a professorship then keep her head down and try to get tenure to do what?

2018-06-13 21:30:02 UTC

Retire?

2018-06-13 21:30:25 UTC

if she wanted a PhD yes
