Like removal of gun channels.
YouTube is better. But it scares me with the actions
I dread the day they remove Forgotten Weapons
they are playing with fire, youtube has too much power
And well. Pornhub isnt gonna go ahead and create a proper competitor
pornhub might be the only other outfit that could actually challenge youtube
Dont be too sure
once again, porn is humanities salvation?
No idea, they do crazy things at times
I'm just saying they have the experience to run a highly used video sharing site
but that being said
there's no money in YT
I really think there isn't, half the people block ads and advertisers don't like half the content being associated with them
more than you'd think
I just don't think there's enough money to support anything like YT without money from Alphabet
Forgotten Weapons guy uploaded a few vids up there
anything else would be dark web shit to a normal internet users
yes but how does Alphabet make its money?
search
and user info
exactly, and they get that through youtube aswell
but that's just a source of the data, not a direct making money off of ads
Like it or not, PH had alot of shit before YT added them in
Like video preview
and alphabet is probably the only company that can do that because they own the ad agency
yes but they can use that data for profit
Youtube doesn't make a lot directly
correct
but its information is a valuable asset
so you'd have to have another company that had a secondary revenue source
that would make money off of the primary site
how many of those exist
very very few
oh absolutely, Youtube couldnt survive on its own like this
I'm saying, the chances of a competitor are slim, right now
and any p2p competitor or blockchain etc is just going to be seen as dark web shit to a normal user that goes to YT
i.e. grandma will continue to goto YT
It would need a different business plan atleast
You need the hardware
Its a lot of hardware. We talking petabytes of storage, and supercomputers for handling their video indexing and searching.
And years of development in their search algorithms.
