I remember back when I played Overwatch, that was an issue I understood. some of those SJW people tried to show that there was massive sexism in the game. and to anyone who plays, it's like uh... yeah... they're all assholes all targeting people all the time for anything because there is no force keeping them from being an asshole, this isn't a gender issue

In other words, they would support dnd campagins where women, POC or LGBTQQIIAA2SP characters take the lead

Dude the sjw have already completely taken over Tabletop. The war was over before Gamergate was even a thing.

Or they would want the campagin to be supporting their ideas, like having the players defeat tyrants and help women become strong independent characters

basicly a political sect of the left is like in all things trying to push out any voice or opinion that they dont agree with so they can control the industry with a monolithic opinion

Now thers nothing wrong with that, but they would force these ideas upon others and slander those who dont run campagins along these lines

So its not just "we want this hobby to be this way" its "your hobby has to be this way or else your an evil racist nazi bigot"

Some of it is dumbing down game mechanics for easy entry. Not something I approve of, but DND jumped the low IQ shark years ago with oversimplification. That’s why Pathfinder exists.
