@Dunk Massive that Finland shit's fake news, or at least clickbaity to the extreme. Basically there are multiple tiers for sexual assault and rape in Finland. They tried to get him charged for the highest one (like say, first degree murder) and the court deemed that he didn't meet the requirements. For that it would have required use of force or the threat thereof *on top* of the already established sexual misconduct involving a minor, which isn't always the case even statutory rape situations (see: all the students that have longass affairs with their teachers). The article linked even admits he was convicted while simultaneously saying the state gave him the go-ahead. While I think 3 years is stupidly low, it's 100% wrong to say that sex with children is permitted in Finland. They just need to revamp the amount of time they sentence for
