I agree, they can be abused, but I did say everyone should have to do it. Yes, that might put mentally handicapped at a potential disadvantage, that is another problem
I agree, but if we go this route. I feel that it will be necessary to add more community resources to help those willing to learn English. If they are here legally.
I don't have a problem with that. Although I'd rather incentive it with tax deductibles than direct federal funding.
Encourage communities to fund this.
Not the government
Instead, however, the government seems to try and mandate kids learn Spanish in public schools.
Agreed
Two firemen who made video criticizing Maduro charged with hate speech crimes and face 20 years in prison.

"Hate speech" laws being used to silence political dissents in a socialist regime. Never thought I'd see the day.
And that is why the Racial Socialist want hate speach laws
I think most of us are vaguely aware of china's social credit score bullshit, but this very easily digestable article does a good job at going into a little more detail on how it works http://abc.net.au/news/2018-09-18/china-social-credit-a-model-citizen-in-a-digital-dictatorship/10200278?pfmredir=sm
I actually think we could soon have something like that in the West. We already have Corporate loyalty programs. I can just see corporations deciding they are going to step up to their "social responsibility" and reward behavior through such programs. Many will likely merge them as they already have.
I doubt the government would do it too explicitly (that would be too obvious) but I can totally see companies using it to push certain beliefs and behaviors that they find suitable.
like they already are?
Not quite yet. It would be far more subtle and far more influential. Right now it's "buy our product." It's becoming "support X charity." It would become "support X event"
I keep wondering when people are going to get a little more skeptical about some of the genetic testing that gets sold these days. SOme of it is solid, like the best paternity tests are pretty darned good, but these long intergenerational mitochondrial DNA things have issues.
There's a few full reports on most of the DNA/ancestry testing sites. They're sketchy as fuck and not as accurate as they claim
Something about selling your DNA to 3rd parrty labs and medical facilities as I understand.
I also hear they've actually muddled with results to screw with people they didn't like.
```A reporter for the Daily Beast @KELLYWEILL, who also attended Unite the Right 2, defends Richard Spencer as "more practiced" and says he "mopped the floor with Carl Benjamin" in her latest piece.
Benjamin was debating against Spencer's racist positions.```
Was there a newer one since the one on Warski??
And yes, I have to agree with her because Carl Benjamin just outright sucked at the debate, didn't have many Arguments and was an ass, talked over Richard (who was rather calm, Carl was not).
In short: It was a trainwreck on Sargon's side and caused him to loose a ton of subs at the time.
So in short, it was bad, very bad and IMO also rather cringy. Spencer kinda won because he was calm and didn't talk (much) over the other, was rather respectful and the worst he said was "you are not as intelligent as you think you are".
@pratel it's multifactorial. You can get your data sold to third parties, if they find a cure using your data you don't get shit, data has been stolen from some of these companies, the %'s aren't accurate, the method they use isn't that good for what they're using it for, and they might be fucking with results extra because again, they wouldn't be able to show you detailed percentages
Yeah, also. That was a good article.
I personally find it strange people dance around the 'what counts as a race" question. That's actually settled law. Back during slavery and reconstruction they asked that and decided on a 1/8th criterion and as laws tend to not get actually repealed...
It is funny when you realize people are literally fighting over the same stuff as reconstruction. We *could* just drop the whole thing. Or I guess we'll be progressive and discriminate on business contracts like it's 1870 or something. The latter case seems to be winning somehow.
Sargon didn't do very well against Spencer but Styxhexenhammer has
Yes, it would have been soo much better if Sargon would have just shut his mouth and let our Anarcho-Hippie Jesus do the Job.
The Shirtless Wonder
Hehehe, yeah 😄
I'd love to the give congratulation to the winner of the War on Drugs, the drugs.
And the government. Both big winners.
Well, the private prisons are doing fantastic numbers...
