"You arrogant fuck"
Right there at the top
It wasnt "Rome" it was their empire
Like territories they have
When did I identify it as the city of Rome?
Rome is a city
It wasn't a status of forces agreement
When did I identify them as openly hostile enemy nations?
It wasn't a visiting forces agreement
It was a province of the empire
Almost like it was a colony or something...
Like Algeria and France?
Or UK and Australia or any of those
It was theor land technically but it was still seperate
The Roman gov structure is entirely different
Their land, meaning they owned it
By right of conquest according to them
So the people there considered themselves Roman and held no ill will whatsoever?
And still remain Rome to this day?
Because I thought that wasnt the case
I always saw rome like the EU headquarters
They owned a lot technically but no one fucking liked them
Chinese in America did not become naturalized until the 60s. The day prior to that, what country owned Chinatown NYC?
Only feared them
You're right they didn't necessarily like them
Thats is complete different
NYC was already america before they got they during and after naturalization
It would be more like Guam or something
Its "America" but at the same time not really
Until 1945 the Philippines was sovereign US territory. Yet people born there were not citizens of the US
Uh, people born in Guam are citizens
And Puerto Rico
And yet they arent a state
They are a territory
Rome wasn't a federation
Rome had a separate class of citizen and subject
Roman empire still ruled over everything in their empire. They had troops stationed, collected taxes and stuff from Israel. They had their own governor appointed to rule over Israel
And such dont have certain rights
Note that Paul was both a Jew and a citizen
