after the communion there is a woman most of the time that give us the bread
Doors?
Oh you have a wall?
We can see the altar from the door, no separation
We can't go inside the altars of the church, it's forbidden especially for women
only priests and the ones that help the priests can go
It's on a kind of elevated "stage" here
We can't just go up there though
Some places have rails separating it especially older churches
Newer ones it's just the steps
same for us, there is an elevation where the bishop/priest will stand to chant/speak and behind him there is a wall with doors that seperate the interior for them to go inside and do their things
Communion is kept in a Tabernacle with a lock on it
and we can't go there
So I suppose it's kinda secure
I never heard a thing about someone stealing the communion
The only thing I have heard some shitfags stealing the box that we leave the donations
Here you can see all that separates them is steps
But nobody really violates that
What we do have a problem with though is the sneaking
this is how the interior look on us
the altar is behind this "walls"
The wine is given to us by the priest, after we kiss his hand and tell him our baptist name and the bread is given to our hand after the wine by someone when we do leave
Aren’t you supposed to eat the communion thing before you walk away?
I’ve had pieces of bread torn off and crackers.
Well, they stand on the door before you leave and they gived it there
So the orthobro stand in that door and gives you the communion thing?
Then you what? Go back to your seat and eat it or eat it on the way back to your seat?
The priest will stand there in the middle to give us the wine, and the other orthobro will stand at the door before you go out of the church
Oh. So on leaving the service you get the communion wafer/bread.
Yes
After the wine(blood) the liturgy ends
and we are given the bread(flesh) after that
To qualify for the communion also
Ah ok
we need to do a fasting a day before (friday) and we don't have to eat anything else in the morning on the day of the communion until we finish the liturgy
so the first thing we eat and drink is the blood and flesh
My churches always have us walk up to the front and get our bread/wafer and our wine/grape juice cup. Then we either eat & drink right there, or set & drink back in our seat.
So you do that fasting every week?
