haha

2019-05-10 13:44:47 UTC

I couldn’t remember the state, but I knew of the story.

2019-05-10 17:28:59 UTC

@Deleted User do you have pretty secure communion like how Catholics were before Vatican II?

2019-05-10 17:47:13 UTC

Pretty secure communion? What do you mean? My Protestant churches have everyone walk up to the front, and you eat the thing in front of the pastor and then move to get your liquid cup.

2019-05-10 18:04:08 UTC

@Deleted User What do you mean by secure?

2019-05-10 18:04:42 UTC

Rail separating the altar from the congregation

2019-05-10 18:05:13 UTC

On the tongue only

2019-05-10 18:05:55 UTC

We can't go inside the doors, we do a line before the altar and the priest is giving us the communion

2019-05-10 18:06:07 UTC

after the communion there is a woman most of the time that give us the bread

2019-05-10 18:06:48 UTC

Doors?

2019-05-10 18:06:55 UTC

Oh you have a wall?

2019-05-10 18:07:16 UTC

We can see the altar from the door, no separation

2019-05-10 18:07:38 UTC

We can't go inside the altars of the church, it's forbidden especially for women

2019-05-10 18:07:48 UTC

only priests and the ones that help the priests can go

2019-05-10 18:08:08 UTC

It's on a kind of elevated "stage" here

2019-05-10 18:08:16 UTC

We can't just go up there though

2019-05-10 18:08:30 UTC

Some places have rails separating it especially older churches

2019-05-10 18:08:36 UTC

Newer ones it's just the steps

2019-05-10 18:08:47 UTC

same for us, there is an elevation where the bishop/priest will stand to chant/speak and behind him there is a wall with doors that seperate the interior for them to go inside and do their things

2019-05-10 18:08:50 UTC

Communion is kept in a Tabernacle with a lock on it

2019-05-10 18:08:55 UTC

and we can't go there

2019-05-10 18:09:13 UTC

So I suppose it's kinda secure

2019-05-10 18:09:44 UTC

I never heard a thing about someone stealing the communion

2019-05-10 18:10:01 UTC

The only thing I have heard some shitfags stealing the box that we leave the donations

2019-05-10 18:10:23 UTC

2019-05-10 18:10:37 UTC

Here you can see all that separates them is steps

2019-05-10 18:10:44 UTC

But nobody really violates that

2019-05-10 18:10:59 UTC

What we do have a problem with though is the sneaking

2019-05-10 18:11:14 UTC

So do you give it on the tongue? Or hand it to them?

2019-05-10 18:11:36 UTC

2019-05-10 18:11:44 UTC

this is how the interior look on us

2019-05-10 18:11:50 UTC

the altar is behind this "walls"

2019-05-10 18:12:36 UTC

The wine is given to us by the priest, after we kiss his hand and tell him our baptist name and the bread is given to our hand after the wine by someone when we do leave

2019-05-10 18:14:10 UTC

Aren’t you supposed to eat the communion thing before you walk away?

2019-05-10 18:14:33 UTC

I’ve had pieces of bread torn off and crackers.

2019-05-10 18:14:45 UTC

Well, they stand on the door before you leave and they gived it there

2019-05-10 18:15:33 UTC

So the orthobro stand in that door and gives you the communion thing?

2019-05-10 18:16:06 UTC

Then you what? Go back to your seat and eat it or eat it on the way back to your seat?

2019-05-10 18:16:10 UTC

The priest will stand there in the middle to give us the wine, and the other orthobro will stand at the door before you go out of the church

2019-05-10 18:16:48 UTC

Oh. So on leaving the service you get the communion wafer/bread.

2019-05-10 18:16:59 UTC

Yes
