Everything Elijah did was to show how weak/powerless/nonexistent Baal was.

Honestly, Revelations for now isn't pertinent to our salvation. It will be made readily available for us to understand when the time is necessary. Some has already passed, I believe more is to come.

2019-05-22 21:41:45 UTC

With that thinking, all we need is Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

2019-05-22 21:42:13 UTC

Could probably even just cut it down to one of them 🤷

2019-05-22 21:46:24 UTC

@Andrules wrong. The Apostles had the Holy Spirit and revealed for us more commandments.

2019-05-22 21:46:52 UTC

The problem is, we can't understand all of Revelations. It's a metaphor. Some has already passed, some is yet to come I believe.

2019-05-22 21:47:11 UTC

Mostly, I believe it was a code written to the Churches so that they can be saved.

2019-05-22 21:47:51 UTC

Actually we don't even need the Bible. The faith is older than the book.

2019-05-22 21:48:04 UTC

Our understanding is much deeper with it

2019-05-22 21:56:52 UTC

"The Church is like a mustard seed. Restorationists and Protestants alike want to go back to the seed of the Faith. What they don't realized, is that when they dig up the dirt, they find the roots of the Church, and when they look above they see a blossoming tree full of life." -- Paraphrased. Idk who wrote it.

2019-05-22 21:57:22 UTC

Obviously there are flaws in the Church. So priest, deacon, bishop, Cardinal or Pope is not free of sin

2019-05-22 22:14:11 UTC

Free of sin?

2019-05-22 22:15:53 UTC

@Iakovos Have you seen the current pope? <:smuglaugh:448311843086401536>

2019-05-22 22:16:15 UTC

there changed it.

2019-05-22 22:16:17 UTC

Sorry.

2019-05-22 22:16:19 UTC

Not free of sin.

2019-05-22 22:16:30 UTC

Good ☦

2019-05-22 22:16:51 UTC

Also I don't remember if I have said it, but good luck with your family today

2019-05-22 22:23:58 UTC

If we weren’t meant to understand Revelations, then it wouldn’t be in the Bible.

2019-05-22 22:24:14 UTC

Technically it's its own book

2019-05-22 22:24:39 UTC

Sure, it’s full of metaphors and stuff. So that makes it a more difficult book.

2019-05-22 22:24:54 UTC

Well all of them are their own books lol

2019-05-22 22:25:05 UTC

It's not really the intent for most people to understand anything in the Bible

2019-05-22 22:25:22 UTC

Metaphors were used, so the common people could understand back then

2019-05-22 22:26:05 UTC

If John saw a vision of a futuristic war, he's gonna write using the terminology he knows

2019-05-22 22:26:51 UTC

But, it seems we are closing in the age of revelation

2019-05-22 22:27:04 UTC

either us or our kids will witness it

2019-05-22 22:30:24 UTC

Maybe

2019-05-22 22:30:35 UTC

But they thought that in 70 AD too

2019-05-22 22:30:51 UTC

When Jewrusalem got nuked

2019-05-22 22:33:09 UTC

And in 793 when the Vikings raided lindisfarne

2019-05-22 22:33:16 UTC

They are trying to rebuilt the temple of solomon

2019-05-22 22:33:37 UTC

Which one of the books actually talks about that? The new Christians thinking the end times were there.

2019-05-22 22:33:40 UTC

when the temple finish it will be the start of the end

2019-05-22 22:34:39 UTC

It was one of the letter-books that Paul wrote.

2019-05-22 22:37:08 UTC

Some people are trying but there's Muslim sites where they want to put it

2019-05-22 22:37:54 UTC

Well yeah. The dome of the rock is in the way 🤣

2019-05-22 22:38:29 UTC

They say that the muslims sites will be destroyed before the work of solomon temple begins

2019-05-22 22:39:00 UTC

Everyone is too much of a bitch to fight Islam.

2019-05-22 22:39:43 UTC

Turkey is going to drag us all into a war if they keep it up, so who knows
