the thing is that rey is such a weak character, there'd be little reason for her NOT to join him

especially when they were bonding the whole time

i hate rey as a character overall though but it's kinda too late to turn that trainwreck around

also the trailer was really cringy when rey was running from kylo's TIE fighter

it's one thing to cry over a film

it's another to cry over a literal trailer where nothing all that interesting or emotional is happeing

i am not going to hide it, i cry at films here and there

but i do not spontaneously weep by watching a teaser of anything

i have very high empathy levels and fictional characters essentially trigger that

but i also don't cry at every movie

i can watch the iron giant at any time and i'll cry at the end

what really gets me

is stuff involving a father and his son

like if the father's child dies and he cries, or the father is abusive but truly does love his son and is just a broken person

there's just something transcendental about it

something i cannot explain

but it moves in a very deep level
