2018-07-11 13:00:13 UTC

early education is important

2018-07-13 20:17:46 UTC

@Deleted User Hong Kong is british

2018-07-13 20:22:51 UTC

I know. When it was turned back over to the Chinese in 1997 over a million fled to Canada

2018-07-13 20:26:00 UTC

British Army looks weird

2018-07-13 20:26:12 UTC

Don't remember them having all that red stuff

2018-07-13 20:26:49 UTC

@Deleted User Hong Kong hasn't been British since 1997

2018-07-13 20:27:26 UTC

I know. Mick said "Hong Kong is British" as in presently

2018-07-13 22:43:01 UTC

Hong Kong is rightfully British

2018-07-13 22:43:22 UTC

The communist state didn't exist in 1847

2018-07-13 22:43:42 UTC

It's like the UK demanding Oregon

2018-07-13 22:44:23 UTC
2018-07-15 00:48:56 UTC

China existed though, and the ROC was the lawful successor of the Qing Empire

2018-07-15 00:49:09 UTC

The PRC is the lawful successor of the ROC

2018-07-15 03:03:23 UTC

PRC is illegal

2018-07-15 04:51:13 UTC

prefer the ROC than PRC

2018-07-15 04:51:19 UTC

cos communism is cancer

2018-07-15 04:59:53 UTC

No authority is illegal nor lawful
If you are able to enforce your authority over a nation, then you are the authority.

2018-07-15 05:00:16 UTC

Tho I would prefer ROC too <:GWtogaTheSaddest:384871977149661184>

2018-07-15 05:40:08 UTC

If PRC is illegal then British rule of HK and any other overseas territory would be illegal

2018-07-15 05:40:16 UTC

For that matter, US would be illegal

2018-07-15 05:40:25 UTC

Most of the British Isles would be illegal

2018-07-15 05:40:53 UTC

Until the 80s, ROC was a socialist dictatorship btw

2018-07-15 05:41:23 UTC

And PRC has steadily moved away from communism and more towards nationalism with a contradictory name

2018-07-15 05:49:24 UTC

Sun Yat Sen was leaning socialist too

2018-07-15 05:51:21 UTC

I remember the KMT split to left and right wing factions at some point

2018-07-15 06:04:40 UTC

It was clearly and self admittedly socialist until the 80s

2018-07-15 06:04:49 UTC

Like the Nazi brand of socialism

2018-07-15 06:05:36 UTC

They were even trained by the Wehrmacht, wore the same uniforms, used the same weapons, and some Chinese served in the Wehrmacht in Europe

2018-07-15 06:06:05 UTC

Sino-German split happened after Japan invaded

2018-07-15 06:34:20 UTC

Well yeah
The Wehrmacht did assist to train a few divisions of the Nationalist army, though some of them got wasted in defending Shanghai
The German advisors advised Chiang not to hold onto Shanghai and focus on moving the bulk of their forces Westwards.

2018-07-15 06:36:26 UTC

Chiang Wei Kuo was one of the prominent ones who served in the Wehrmacht, tho he got called back to China before he was able to participate in the invasion of Poland

2018-07-15 11:21:26 UTC

Left Wing KMT are currently A political party in China However its mostly the CPC

2018-07-15 11:26:25 UTC

Oh yeah the current left wing KMT is a puppet political party with no real influence

2018-07-15 13:47:48 UTC

There's several small parties, and usually their leadership are also CPC
