I Japan I believe that even if its from another brand. A composer can use his own music in other shows/movies

@Deleted User That is incorrect, copyright law in Japan works mostly like the US but it has extra protections for the original author unless authors rights were explicitly passed over in a contract or license (whichi s often the case)

Well I think you are getting that idea from the default copyright conditions, but those assume the work wasn't made under contract and isn't licensed out
so yeah, it is in fact possible that the song is like that, but I doubt it
if you know the actual name of the song I can try and look it up on JASRAC to see what the license is
