luckily, there are more Red districts than blue distracts, so while the governor is normally a democrat, the state legislature is ALWAYS Republican

It's like Tampa and Orlando, the rest of the state voting red can easily handle counterbalencing the next largest cities if the largest is seperated.

Philly makes it hard for PA to vote Red in a Presidential election, makes it very hard

The biggest republican gains in any statewide race in Florida come from the suburban counties in the central part of the state surrounding Tampa and Orlando.

Fun fact, if you seperate the 3 Miami counties in Florida, one could gerrymander the crap outta the districts since the rest is so red and make all house seats republican by dividing up the deep blue areas into like 20 districts competing with big red areas.
