I feel like Shapiro’s issue is he isn’t nice.
Despite his article years ago claiming that Trump is what Republicans need to save the party.
I only find issue with dicks when they are destructive

He recognizes the benefits of not planning and just running with an idea till he's got nothing.
He isn't perfect but he is trying far harder than anyone in recent memory has. It's the trying that opens him up to all the criticism he gets.

Israel is not necessarily a bad place but they have built their economy around getting US aid, so for them it's not a want, it's a need. Think of it like if you were getting BAH and all of a sudden that stopped because finance fucked up but you didn't have a place in the barracks to go.

Also Trump is certainly a dick at times. He goes out of his way in some instances to be one. There is a bit of a difference between not nice and what Trump likes to do.
