It's not that only officers know how to fight, it's that all of the non-tactical decision making of NCOs is done by the political commissar. Sergeants are strictly for tactical leadership on the job. They have almost nothing to do with personnel issues, morale, welfare, training, etc.

This is my Senate prediction. McSally has done well but she lost her first election (special election rigging). Maine needs to get rid of Susan Collins and nominate another republican or they will have a democrat/democrat in disguise. Michigan may flip if Trump can rally enough support for senate candidate. Alabama will probably flip the 2017 mistake unless its rigged again.

I'm sure they think they have high morale but it's not like the US or Russia where I think the entire country in its entirety would basically pick up the fight if needed. Between Russia US and China, China is by far the most likely to actually lose a war.
As for the strike cancel on Iran I support it. Much of the sabre rattling they are doing is try and unite the country to a common goal instead of self destructing when the realize the country leadership is responsible.
That things are getting worse shows they are desperate and almost NEED us to attack. By letting them stew we weaken them and make the eventual invasion easier.
They are poisoned and dying unless they do something drastic we can afford to stay hands off. Besides I still really think Iran has a nuke and that the CoD4 scenario could happen. Invasion, capture their cities, then they aloha anackbar on the biggest level ever seen.
China is far more unified than the US. They would fight. And on land, only on land, they would win. Never at sea though.
PLA bands are a unique thing somewhat similar to that Marine band where everyone is E6+ and doesn't go to boot camp
