No mission to grab a HVT... you on your own initiative, go check the warrant list, gather intel about where someone might be hanging out, and go down there yourself and grab him, then you talk to him about if he knows anything useful
Doing shit as a cop is absolutely nothing like being a platoon leader. Police mission planning is just E5 level and even that is giving police too much credit. For one you have a shit ton more admin for the army. Have to write up an op order, do the composite risk assessment and make sure all those resources are ready and available.
I get what you are trying to get at but being a cop isnt quite as bad as you are making it out to be. Granted you do have to not be a retard and be trustworthy, and that is pretty steep requirements these days.
Like me finding out where a class was for our company would likely be like middle tier police work. Commander was like "there is an ammo class going on today, figure that shit out and get back to me. Only gave me a name." Went up to battalion and asked around for him and got his info from his battalion Staff duty desk then went and got the info in person.
People dont have the sense to do stuff like that by more but that doesnt mean its difficult.
