Might as well not even require a damn fitness test
Current test is fine anyways that one sounds retarded
Like if this was teue there would be no point in rescuing pogs because it would be like trying to herd civilians at that point.
Combat fitness tests aren't the same as a pft though
Marines have a CFT and a PFT for awhile now
It may not even be under the same conditions or attire. I think Marine CFT is done in cammies and boots
And I think the Marines now have another test for combat arms
Idk
1245 2 mile in boots is lol wat
Are all events back to back though?
And distance running is still stupid
Besides that it's gender and age neutral, so no more 90 minute two mile for the old fucks
I'm impressed with the direction the army is going. A fair PT test, much longer infantry training, bringing back the old WW2 service uniform
I like the new dress uniform
For infantry there isnt much to extend in the training unless they want to add gunnery and mech training
@everyone I'll be hosting bible study in 30 mins
John 6:60-71
What are some hard things about following Jesus?
1. In verse 60, John's language changes and he start talking about 'disciples'. The Greek word for disciple is 'Mathetes' which means, 'a learner'. Using that definition, what would you say some of the characteristics of a disciple would be
2. Jesus had many disciples desert him on this day. Have you ever been deserted by someone (s)? How did that feel? How do you think Jesus felt when this happened?
3. Jesus asked the disciples if they also wanted to leave. Peter responded saying ' Who would we go to?' Peter's Question was rhetorical - he didn't expect an answer, but was really saying - we have no plan B. Is it OK to follow Jesus and have a plan B if that doesn't work out? For salvation, obviously not, but what in practical areas of life? Should a missionary or pastor have a 'plan B'?
4. In verse 70, Jesus said, "Haven't I chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!" Why would Jesus have chosen 'a devil' (Judas) as a disciple is he knew what he would eventually do?
5. Pastor Stan talked about the difference between Comitment and Surrender. Discuss the difference.
when following Jesus is hard, double down.
@Ehzek they do more training in other essential skills which is great because they tend to suck horribly in a lot of them fresh out of Benning
A lot of changes to BCT coming down as well, like more discipline, drill, history, and going back to ironsights
Really we should expect to see the army match the Marines in all of the good ways such as skill, pride, and discipline, but not in the same arrogance and immaturity that the Marine age limits can party be blamed for
@Deleted User I'm listening via my computer so I can't talk
too easy mate
@Deleted User had a call I had to take
no worries
up to question 2
@Stormbreaker you ok man?
Yeah. Old friend called
ahh, cool. glad you're ok
Army Honor Guard stomps the Shit out of the Marines drill wise
Ive never once qualified on irons either
Kinda sucked
Drill history and discipline are worth doing though. To many terrible people just skating by.
It was irons when I went through, sharpshooter 1st time
There is something to be said for pride in your image and being able to fucking march in unison instead of like a slinky at your BCT graduation is important
