If your spouse cheats you're allowed to remarry

2019-03-13 19:46:05 UTC

However

2019-03-13 19:46:18 UTC

I think if your spouse dies you are still married.

2019-03-13 19:46:24 UTC

You marry the soul, not the body.

2019-03-13 19:46:24 UTC

I still think there needs to be a cool down time

2019-03-13 19:46:52 UTC

Make monkey branching impossible

2019-03-13 19:46:52 UTC

What I mean by soul is their consciousness

2019-03-13 19:47:08 UTC

And that solves 90% of divorce

2019-03-13 19:47:56 UTC

But if you want to remarry after your partner's death, you can. I personally will probably not

2019-03-13 19:48:04 UTC

Unless I discover she cheated on me while alive

2019-03-13 19:48:18 UTC

There is technically no “justified” divorce under God’s law. The exceptions allowed in our laws are for us being backwards heathens.

2019-03-13 19:48:18 UTC

Then I will piss on her grave

2019-03-13 19:48:31 UTC

Now remarrying after a death is fine and expected.

2019-03-13 19:48:40 UTC

What about if your wife cheats?

2019-03-13 19:48:46 UTC

You should be allowed to remarry

2019-03-13 19:48:49 UTC

And god says so

2019-03-13 19:48:57 UTC

And same for woman if husband cheats

2019-03-13 19:49:05 UTC

That’s listed as a rule we can have because we’re heathens incapable of perfection.

2019-03-13 19:49:05 UTC

well in the Old Testament, I am pretty sure adultery is punishable by death

2019-03-13 19:49:11 UTC

so death = remarry

2019-03-13 19:49:53 UTC

There’s several rules that are allowed because we can’t be perfect and never sin.

2019-03-13 19:50:10 UTC

Allowing a remarriage after a spouse cheats is one of those rules.

2019-03-13 19:50:44 UTC

Jesus actually mentions this somewhere. It’s where the Jews were trying to trip him up in his Bible understanding.

2019-03-13 19:51:00 UTC

Which that happened all the time...

2019-03-13 20:03:04 UTC

Marriage is supposed to be for life, for better or worse. Your spouse cheating is definitely on the *worse* side. But because we can’t be perfect and forgive, we’re allowed to dissolve the union.

2019-03-13 20:05:38 UTC

One of the OT prophets actually buys his wife as a prostitute to bring her home. She had left him, lived as a whore, and he buys her back. That’s an example of how your own marriage is supposed to be. Could I do that? Fuck no, I’m a petty motherfucker. Doesn’t change the fact that I would be wrong.

2019-03-13 20:12:12 UTC

Book of Hosea

2019-03-13 20:40:16 UTC

I say yes to marriage if it gives me tax benefits tbh

2019-03-13 20:40:21 UTC

Otherwise, why even bother?

2019-03-13 20:53:18 UTC

MGTOW?

2019-03-13 21:26:19 UTC

All of you are right in a sense

2019-03-13 21:27:35 UTC

In the Catholic Church, we cannot remarry, period, even in the case of adultery. But, we can get an annulment sometimes, which says the marriage was basically never valid in the first place.

2019-03-13 21:28:33 UTC

If a brother and sister don't know they are related, and marry, then that's one case. Or, forced marriage. Or, a marriage where one person never really intended to fulfill the obligations of marriage including fidelity. So an adultery case may or may not fall under that.

2019-03-13 21:29:22 UTC

Sounds harsh but when this was the law of the land, there wasn't much adultery or divorce.

2019-03-13 21:31:32 UTC

The problem with women is the women's liberation movement. Feminism.

2019-03-13 21:31:51 UTC

When they get it in their heads that they don't have to obey their husbands

2019-03-13 22:06:29 UTC

👍🏻

2019-03-13 22:31:16 UTC

Women don't have souls

2019-03-13 23:08:41 UTC

It appears that much of fb's features are down. Even gmail is having problems loading media files. It'll be an interesting announcement in the news.

2019-03-13 23:24:41 UTC

Good. I was worried something had happened to mine.

2019-03-13 23:33:04 UTC

Yeah. a lot of social media groups are having this problem.
