If your spouse cheats you're allowed to remarry
However
I think if your spouse dies you are still married.
You marry the soul, not the body.
I still think there needs to be a cool down time
Make monkey branching impossible
What I mean by soul is their consciousness
And that solves 90% of divorce
But if you want to remarry after your partner's death, you can. I personally will probably not
Unless I discover she cheated on me while alive
There is technically no “justified” divorce under God’s law. The exceptions allowed in our laws are for us being backwards heathens.
Then I will piss on her grave
Now remarrying after a death is fine and expected.
What about if your wife cheats?
You should be allowed to remarry
And god says so
And same for woman if husband cheats
That’s listed as a rule we can have because we’re heathens incapable of perfection.
well in the Old Testament, I am pretty sure adultery is punishable by death
so death = remarry
Allowing a remarriage after a spouse cheats is one of those rules.
Jesus actually mentions this somewhere. It’s where the Jews were trying to trip him up in his Bible understanding.
Which that happened all the time...
Marriage is supposed to be for life, for better or worse. Your spouse cheating is definitely on the *worse* side. But because we can’t be perfect and forgive, we’re allowed to dissolve the union.
One of the OT prophets actually buys his wife as a prostitute to bring her home. She had left him, lived as a whore, and he buys her back. That’s an example of how your own marriage is supposed to be. Could I do that? Fuck no, I’m a petty motherfucker. Doesn’t change the fact that I would be wrong.
Book of Hosea
I say yes to marriage if it gives me tax benefits tbh
Otherwise, why even bother?
MGTOW?
All of you are right in a sense
In the Catholic Church, we cannot remarry, period, even in the case of adultery. But, we can get an annulment sometimes, which says the marriage was basically never valid in the first place.
If a brother and sister don't know they are related, and marry, then that's one case. Or, forced marriage. Or, a marriage where one person never really intended to fulfill the obligations of marriage including fidelity. So an adultery case may or may not fall under that.
Sounds harsh but when this was the law of the land, there wasn't much adultery or divorce.
The problem with women is the women's liberation movement. Feminism.
When they get it in their heads that they don't have to obey their husbands
👍🏻
Women don't have souls
It appears that much of fb's features are down. Even gmail is having problems loading media files. It'll be an interesting announcement in the news.
Good. I was worried something had happened to mine.
Yeah. a lot of social media groups are having this problem.
