They arent

2018-11-22 16:18:43 UTC

I've straight up explained why they are different

2018-11-22 16:19:04 UTC

'It's only bad when it's used in a stituation I don't like.

2018-11-22 16:19:16 UTC

People not having perfect representation in a field of employment has more to do with choice . It’s also private sector vs government.

Your comparison is faulty.

2018-11-22 16:19:37 UTC

The US is a union of states. The states joined on the basis of equal representation

2018-11-22 16:20:06 UTC

The party in power is elected by regional representatives, not a mob

2018-11-22 16:20:10 UTC

I didn't say I don't know what is going on or how things work. I said the way you elect your ruler is a form of affirmitive action.

2018-11-22 16:20:22 UTC

No it isn't lol

2018-11-22 16:20:40 UTC

That's like saying "we both paid for this pool but my family has more people so I should own it more"

2018-11-22 16:20:54 UTC

Women being over represented as teachers and men being over represented at coal miners is choice. So is more blacks being in basketball and whites in hockey.

2018-11-22 16:21:18 UTC

It’s not tranny to allow people to make choices.

2018-11-22 16:21:30 UTC

As an asian my score on a test is not worth the same as a afirican american on the same test.

2018-11-22 16:21:45 UTC

However it is to block people from having a say in government. Especially local.

2018-11-22 16:22:00 UTC

RRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

2018-11-22 16:22:06 UTC

That's because someone is working against the way the system is advertised to work to discriminate based on arbitrary characteristics

2018-11-22 16:22:58 UTC

And they do so to get a set quota, to basically decide on an outcone

2018-11-22 16:23:21 UTC

```I didn't say I don't know what is going on or how things work. I said the way you elect your ruler is a form of affirmitive action.```
2018-11-22 16:23:43 UTC
Yes, and we've been explaining why that's not a valid comparison
2018-11-22 16:24:00 UTC
Affirmative action is working against the basis of a given system for a desired outcome
2018-11-22 16:24:11 UTC
And you’re wrong.
You never fielded a good argument for your case.
2018-11-22 16:24:39 UTC
The electoral college is a method by which states in a union send representatives to vote for their country's leadership
2018-11-22 16:24:54 UTC
You’re deliberately ignoring the differences between affirmative action and representation government.
2018-11-22 16:25:03 UTC
That’s not a win for you
2018-11-22 16:25:04 UTC
I don't care on what basics it is being used on. It doesn't change what it is when it's applyed to population instead on race.
2018-11-22 16:25:10 UTC
Again, it's like saying the UN is affirmative action because the US doesn't have 10 representatives
2018-11-22 16:25:22 UTC
Poppy where are u from
2018-11-22 16:25:26 UTC
UK
2018-11-22 16:25:31 UTC
It isn’t the same.
2018-11-22 16:25:32 UTC
"I don't care what the differences are, I'll just restate my assertion"
2018-11-22 16:25:49 UTC
I'm staying on point.
2018-11-22 16:26:00 UTC
No, you're just ignoring incoming information
2018-11-22 16:26:19 UTC
Are countries in europe different then poppy?
2018-11-22 16:26:19 UTC
The basis for the United States is not a system of mob rule
2018-11-22 16:26:25 UTC
I know how and why the votes are counted the way they are in the US.
2018-11-22 16:26:27 UTC
It is, in fact, designed exactly against that
2018-11-22 16:26:40 UTC
Then you know that it's not the same thing, and you're just being obtuse
2018-11-22 16:26:49 UTC
The point behind an interview is to get the best person for the job
2018-11-22 16:27:11 UTC
The point behind the US system is to elect leadership based on State representatives
2018-11-22 16:27:36 UTC
Affirmative action undermines the primary goal of hiring
2018-11-22 16:27:45 UTC
The electoral college secures the primary goal of the US system
2018-11-22 16:28:37 UTC
In my country one persons vote is counted the same as any ohters. Unlike a black person with the same grades as another when it comes to applying to uni.
