They turned to communism in the face of nationalist corruption, and then the Japs invaded
They turned to communism for varying reasons
Mao would not commit as many troops to fight them, so the nationalists were devastated in the war and couldn't resist the communists
China was influenced by communism while it was very unstable during a civil war (and the commies eventually beat the nationalists)
North Korea became communist, because the Soviet Union basically claimed it after Japan was defeated
Communism is basically a colonizing ideology. Not that colonization in itself is wrong, but that's what communism is. Like a virus.
then most other far east nations were swayed or forced to swallow it by the Chicoms and the Soviets
and it remained that way even with the fall of the Soviet Union because the asians are nothing more than subservient drones to whatever ideology rules them
There's no guns in China. They have no choice
Many have fled the totalitarianism of communism and moved to the United States
All political candidates are screened by the party and there are virtually no elections.
Mao, being the insane bastard he was, almost destroyed the entire country because of communism, unwilling to accept that it just doesn't work.
also China has a complicated economy now, because it is a strange hybrid of communism and "we love foreign business pls giv monies so we dont collapse"
After he died, Dent Xiaoping's reforms opened the market to a degree
ironically enough, the same chinese/asians that fled the commie terror to USA are now being indocrinated the same way in USA colleges
the USSR attempted to shift its economy to something more like modern China's, except it failed
Deng not dent
but that isn't the only reason it collapsed
the US also essentially tricked the USSR into going bankrupt, among many other variables
If China had stayed purely on the path of communism it would not exist today. Everyone would be dead.
China, Vietnam, Laos, Cuba, and North Korea
I would include venezuela in there as well
Those people hold grudges like Arabs. If guns were legalized today, half the population would be dead tomorrow. They haven't forgotten who did what during the "cultural revolution"
Yeah Venezuela is most definitely red
i would too, but they are not a "communist state" technically
but it's all the same to me lol
because China and Vietnam are not full communist anymore
they are they strange hybrid
i have no idea what Laos is like as a nation, so i cannot comment on that
state capitalism
yes
Yeah but that strange hybrid is still not as good as capitalism
and North Korea is still very obviously purely communist
Any society where you can't own land isn't good.
and Cuba is, but either is beginning to transition or likely will
anyway last i heard
maybe the hub-bub about it welcoming foreign companies was wrong idk lol
i agree, it isn't good
Or a house costs $300,000
Cars cost $100,000
