Did you tell the reporter that children wouldn't be separated from their parents if the parents didn't commit federal crimes?

You conveniently forgot to mention that the family separation law has existed for decades now and is standard practice in law enforcement (juveniles housed separately from adults), and was intended to separate children so they could be interviewed as possible human trafficking victims without intimidation from the traffickers. Republicans introduced a bill to end separation a couple weeks ago, and Democrats blocked it. Trump then signed an executive order ending it, nine days ago. Some journalist you are.
