The bible is comprised of many books.

You don't have to be Christian to be conservative, but you have to be conservative to be Christian, because anyone who believes in gay marriage and abortion, no matter what he calls himself, is not Christian

Dude is holding a bible study because many Conservatives are Christian. Like it or lump it.

Even if you don't believe in it, it's important to know the foundations of our civilization.

The Bible isn't all, God this and God that, help the poor, raise the dead etc. A significant part of it especially in the Old Testament is documentation of historical events.
