SPACE KANGZ
That was one of the worst episodes of season 1 and season 1 is hot garbage 😄 😄 😄
Yeahhhhhhhhh I'm learning this now
I don't understand how the prime directive itself doesn't stop them from interacting with that planet
But, you know, they have important stuff
yeah. it takes awhile for the whole Prime Directive thing to be sorted out. The Original series also had that problem. TNG really doesn't get good until season 3
I'm a trek fan and I've seen TNG completely 3 times.
I've never bothered watching it
Until now
Tos is too dull
Never really got into that
>White man advances to intergalactical travel and an entire species at peace
>Black civilization still wearing tribal clothing from 1000 years ago
Lmao
Pretty fucking much
Basically space wakanda
White man: laser guns that can be set to nonlethal stun
Black man: spear
They hadn't even achieved space travel yet I believe
White man had space travel for 400+ years
Do they at least have a writing system?
Wasn't mentioned lmfao
Sidenote
I was in a Star trek shit posting group and everyone was flipping out Calling the prime directive fascist
Isn't it kinda the opposite of "fascist"?
That's what I thought
Since they call everything fascist, like imperialism
Apparently minding your own business is fascist
Imperialism is direct interference, protection, and advancement of primitive cultures. The Prime Directive is the exact opposite of that.
They have come full circle
Well yeah
They're retarded
It is now fascist if you do not support imperialism
The episode after doesn't make much more sense
"hey I'm about to kill you but for some reason we both know the art of war so you get to live"
I've heard corny and 60s cheese but I've never heard someone call TOS dull 😄
My favorite TNG episode as of late has been The Drumhead. it warns of a lot of the things happening today such as mob rule. and accusation taken as truth.
Personally my favorite trek series is Deep Space 9. First season is a little rough but nowhere near as bad as TNG's first year
