Wrote an article today at work about Sir Arthur Currie, The leader of the Canadians in WW1 and how after the war the media and Liberals attacked him endlessly for risking Canadian lives to retake the City of Mons on the last full day of the war instead of holding back. he lost 1 man dead and 647 injured taking the city.

Mons had been the first defeat for the British in 1914 at the start of the war so it was important to moral to hold it if talks broke down. In 1928 he challenged a newspaper in court and finally cleared himself of to accusations. Now Currie is seen as one of the best Allied commanders of the war and was knighted by the King of England so the attacks didn't stick to him in the end.
