Well, that's not the problem I saw
She was discussing game development issues on twitter.
Someone gave insight from the perspective of a player
She snapped at him for commenting on the problem, as he's just a player.
Or a man. Or generally not on staff
yeah, she obviously has issues
or whatever the reasoning was
and shouldn't have been in the position she was in
i.e. able to respond to players in an official capacity
Firing might've been a little overkill
maybe
It's also entirely possible, though
but she soured the the name of the company now
that this, as Tim would say, was the grain of sand that made a heap
Right now, absolutely.
But I don't believe we know anything about her interactions with coworkers
I think we know enough about her interactions with customers to merit an opinion, don't you think?
It's worth noting that the Media has a trend towards isolating incidents to preserve a narrative.
oh for sure
This is valid for the games media as well

Russian bots are back: #WalkAway attack on Democrats is a likely Kremlin operation

Yeah, assuming that these were the only incidents and she hadn't been talked to before about problems and didn't create internal problems or react poorly internally I'd rather she been forced to apologize and told not to act like that in public, but oh well. I think most people would be fired if they did that IN the workplace
People need to realize that if they want to act like an idiot you don't do it while wearing your employee uniform, and that is what they do on Twitter
@Yuukas seems like all you'd need to do to discredit an entire grassroots movement would be to make a few bots to support it.
Even if there are some bots in there I'm sure discounting all those who are legitimate as propagandists won't do much to change their mind
I love how people ignore the fact that Russian bots and propaganda were posted on both sides of issues too
Why is it that these bots are so easily traced to Russia anyway?
There were paid FB posts for both pro and anti 2a, Dem and Repub etc
They aren't, but I don't really care where they're from
It's moot when they're hitting both sides
Do that want people to know to spread division and appear strong, or are they really from elsewhere?
i imagine the bots are intentionally easy to find because they exist so that they can be used to invalidate things
"quick, people are starting to use this twitter hashtag, put the bots on it so we can say it's all just bots"
Because I doubt they'd be so incompetent at hiding their trail if it were them and that didn't want people to know
It sucks because it's really hard to know and both scenarios are plausible
honestly the first country everyone goes to for falsifying their location when doing shady shit is russia
or ukraine
if someone is using a russian IP address when performing an attack I would be equally likely to assume they're from somewhere else
