I’ve met some
But honestly it’s not many
And guess what, there are, but a few examples that ended up being democrats claiming to be conservative before and it ruins the bunch.
If I was allowed to vote in this country (I'm cdn citizen) I would have, at the time, voted for hillary, and I would have, now, deeply regretted it
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also still would like to talk to the walk away crowd and maybe convince them to fight back instead of complaining
Thing is, if trumps popularity is going up. Theres less people who gret their vote than people who wished they had voted
Well to some harsh criticsm is their way of fighting.
The Dem need to put up an actual good nominee if they have any chances
They see the good in left policies but hate the extreme it was brought to
And a moderate if at all possible
Based on the list from isidewith.
Not corporate or socialist
They had pocahontas and oprah on it
incidentally, as far as I can tell, the _only_ thing that has meaningfully changed since trump was elected was the tax cut. Everything else is either "pretty much the same as before but nobody complained when obama did it", "marginal change that doesn't really matter", or "a lot of hype over something that isn't really happening"
I’m to young lel
Peace with nk was nice
Yea everyone freaking about that seemed so weird to me
^^ I'm cautiously optimistic but not yet convinced that anything really changed. They could be sneaky
Arguably luck
Mind you any deals made should have been on paper
but, straight up, if the NK stuff works out the way trump seems to say it will, that alone makes him one of the greatest presidents of all time
Then again kim lost his nuke sites, and trumps sure as heck gonna keep an eye to see if he rebuilds them.
Well if nk and sk become k
Trusting a handshake is reckless
That would be amazing.
We’ve already hacked them before anyway
Well to be honsest I gave some thought if I were american and voted.
Id also vote trump. But only cause I didnt like the lefties I see online in nz.
part of the thing is tha tI don't think the president has significant meaningful power in the US
formally most of teh things presidents are credited with/blamed for are not under their control at all. And of teh things that are under their control (military/foreign policy, eg) I assume that they aren't _really_ in charge
like if trump said "land war in china" the generals would just say "no" and it wouldnt' happen
The Presidents power has been increasing since FDR
Like significantly
deep state actually runs things
Like remember we have not declared any actual wars and yet we are in them
That’s because of executive action
And then making excuses to stay
actually, to make a more moderated comment: I don't think that the institutions that exist n this country to carry out executive will, would do so, if doing so would be deeply destabilizing or directly counter to what they want
and most of what they want is a boring normal day where they cash in their paycheque and go home at 5
