There's a lot of problems with private sector unions and teacher's unions. Lobbyists and being able to strike
One of the biggest issues with striking is it's not up to the member, it's up to the leadership. You might be happy with your working conditions but the union president's best friend isn't, so they force a strike and you're out of work.
