Police dispatch audio
There was a shooting and people died. That has been established beyond any rational doubt by reporting across the political spectrum, including local news and recordings of police dispatch.
We need to separate partisanship from at least some acknowledgement that reality is reality
Yeah, it sounds like the guy in the video is trying to say the shooting didn't really happen.
We can debate whether guns are the problem or people who misuse guns are the problem. We can debate mental health and gun education. There's a lot of things we can debate. But we all must acquiesce to the reality of reality.
Yeah, reading through the comments, all these people seem to be saying the shooting is fabricated.
Welcome to the corners of the internet folks.
You can disagree with the victims or the families concluding that their agony is reason to restrict liberties. But for God's sake don't deny their agony at either being a victim or losing a loved one.
when the news media becomes so heavily partisan this sort of denial is likely to happen.
they didn't learn from alex jones losing his lawsuit.
Few things peeve me off more than people telling the parents of murdered children that their children never existed.
instead of perceiving the news media as impartial distributors of fact people start to see them as propagandists pushing an agenda. when that happens, trust is going to plummet, and those who are already predisposed to believing conspiracy theories are going to find them wherever they look.
That's why we cross reference. The internet makes it easy.
well, no. there's problems there too.
Also, there's always Reuters which just feeds news events and not opinion
how can you cross reference when all the media are reading from the same script?
KATV is my home town ABC station
What is the link about?
I think when reporting on an actual event, not an opinion, that Fox and and ABC both reporting the same event would establish that the event happened
a bunch of local news stations that are all owned by the same company, reading a generic statement pushed from higher up
Maybe not the editorials around it
But the event itself
my point is that if you have four networks all receiving their information from one source, you can't cross reference.
you need actual reports actually on the ground looking at the actual event live and unedted.
and news networks don't really do that anymore.
it's all commentary.
thats what twitter is for!
horrifyingly enough
Are we really at a point where people honestly believe a mass shooting could be manufactured and not disproven within a few hours?
well i don't think so, but some do
I guess?
people don't think we landed on the moon
People know 9/11 was an inside job
how is this surprising?
we are actually at a point where elections can get tampered with and can't be proven or disproven
i mean think, think it was an inside job
people also think falcon 9 rockets are UFOs
