Oh, variance!

2018-11-07 10:11:11 UTC

Yeah because how dare I be sleeping

2018-11-07 10:11:15 UTC

But if you think they can be equal no matter what

2018-11-07 10:11:18 UTC

@¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i love being brutaly silent

2018-11-07 10:11:19 UTC

words aren't violence @¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2018-11-07 10:11:19 UTC

Then you dont

2018-11-07 10:11:37 UTC

Depends on the Words if they are violence or not.

2018-11-07 10:11:45 UTC

The correlation between IQ and school grades is only .5, for example.

2018-11-07 10:11:48 UTC

@Cody wait why?
why you think everything needs to be equal?

2018-11-07 10:11:49 UTC

It has a variance of 25%.

2018-11-07 10:11:54 UTC

What the crud are you guys even talking about

2018-11-07 10:12:05 UTC

Saying things that predict one person harming another, it is violence.

2018-11-07 10:12:07 UTC

They need to have the same opportunity to get places

2018-11-07 10:12:08 UTC

So, there are certainly many social situations where IQ is not a good predictor for performance.

2018-11-07 10:12:24 UTC

JBP disagrees with the IQ thingy....

2018-11-07 10:12:35 UTC

@Jasse Its not about poeple needing to be equal its about not blaming skin tone on shit

2018-11-07 10:12:43 UTC

"Some measures of educational aptitude correlate highly with IQ tests – for instance, Frey and Detterman (2004) reported a correlation of 0.82 between g (general intelligence factor) and SAT scores;[108] another research found a correlation of 0.81 between g and GCSE scores, with the explained variance ranging "from 58.6% in Mathematics and 48% in English to 18.1% in Art and Design".[109]"

2018-11-07 10:12:44 UTC

If they are not equal genetically and you support meritocracy then you support raise one group up and lowering another

2018-11-07 10:12:45 UTC

well, at least that you need a certain minimum amount so that you might be sucessful.

2018-11-07 10:12:46 UTC

@Cody they have same opportunitys?

but if you start to discriminate smarter people they will have lesser opportunitys.

2018-11-07 10:13:02 UTC

I was pinged here, you better clue me in wise guys

2018-11-07 10:13:17 UTC

@DanteMenace when did i blame skin tone?
race is way more than just skin tone.

2018-11-07 10:13:18 UTC

@Jasse yet again when you say smart people you are saying white poeple

2018-11-07 10:13:22 UTC

I see people really love mass Pinging 😄

2018-11-07 10:13:32 UTC

You can have equal opportunity if one group is genetically less

2018-11-07 10:13:36 UTC

@DanteMenace stop strawman. lel

2018-11-07 10:13:47 UTC

So why believe in someone so vile if you want meritocracy

2018-11-07 10:13:50 UTC

@Jasse Then what do you mean and thats not a straw man

2018-11-07 10:14:03 UTC

@Scammer a lefty got triggered and pinged every group he could. That's it

2018-11-07 10:14:07 UTC

@Cody so you would discriminate based on race. and at same time yell stop racism?

2018-11-07 10:14:11 UTC

when jasse says smart people he actually means the jews :^)

2018-11-07 10:14:12 UTC

Im not a lefty

2018-11-07 10:14:25 UTC

Variance in some of those data sets is up to 60%, so there are certainly a lot of "exceptions". I am just not sure if I should call them exceptions, because they are part of what forms the characteristics of the data set.

2018-11-07 10:14:35 UTC

I am RINO but if you take the Alt-right seriously you are going to have a bad time

2018-11-07 10:14:37 UTC

I wouldnt descrimnate at all, I think people have the same ability to achieve the same outcomes

2018-11-07 10:14:47 UTC

We should probably not call them "exceptions". The term "outlier" would be a better term.

2018-11-07 10:14:54 UTC

Becuase I dont think anyone is genetically lesser than I am

2018-11-07 10:15:10 UTC

If I did, I would support assistance to them at the beginning

2018-11-07 10:15:17 UTC

@Cody >i just want to disrciminate whites and promote blacks, im not racist. you cant be racist against whites.

2018-11-07 10:15:19 UTC

But a black is stronger than you genetically
