i mean with core issues you believe it all.

2018-11-21 01:32:57 UTC

I'll be honest, I don't think same-sex couples should get advantages that were put in place because in the old days marriages meant reproduction

2018-11-21 01:33:17 UTC

if you consider yourself center-anything, you're neither

2018-11-21 01:33:28 UTC

i don't think anyone should get advantages.

2018-11-21 01:33:35 UTC

^

2018-11-21 01:33:39 UTC

government should not be involved in marriage period

2018-11-21 01:33:43 UTC

indeed

2018-11-21 01:33:45 UTC

No argument

2018-11-21 01:33:50 UTC

if marriages aren't innerently to reproduce, the state should get out of that (along with all the benefits)

2018-11-21 01:33:50 UTC

Big agree

2018-11-21 01:33:52 UTC

actually i would give advantages for people who stay married and have kids

2018-11-21 01:34:03 UTC

it might keep the single mother rate down

2018-11-21 01:34:13 UTC

marriage is a mild tax penalty

2018-11-21 01:34:19 UTC

XD

2018-11-21 01:34:30 UTC

It is a major penalty for those couples where one stays home with the kids like my wife did

2018-11-21 01:34:30 UTC

I don't have the stats to back this up, but i'd be willing to bet money that the only people who have gained advantages in the past 40 years have all voted democrat

2018-11-21 01:34:32 UTC

@Pyro there are more incentives to divorce nowadays than to stay married

2018-11-21 01:34:39 UTC

yea thats why

2018-11-21 01:34:51 UTC

If we want to encourage kids, we need a way for couples to file jointly

2018-11-21 01:34:56 UTC

the benefits it conveys stem from joint ownership or survivorship rights

2018-11-21 01:35:03 UTC

Unless we ditch income tax 🤔

2018-11-21 01:35:13 UTC

so the government should reward families who stay married

2018-11-21 01:35:20 UTC

Whether same sex or not ^^

2018-11-21 01:35:32 UTC

I'm also not convinced that same-sex couples are the greatest of the environments to raise kids. But as the whole thing is new, there's no data on this

2018-11-21 01:35:33 UTC

i love tax reform

2018-11-21 01:35:54 UTC

make a couple worse off for divorcing in the first place

2018-11-21 01:36:01 UTC

data seems to show that it is at least better than single parent environments

2018-11-21 01:36:10 UTC

I think same-sex couple who ensure that their kids have wholesome interaction with members of the unrepresented sex do pretty well

2018-11-21 01:36:15 UTC

Then again, I'm biased

2018-11-21 01:36:24 UTC

ideally the federal income tax burden would shrink and the state tax burden would increase to take up the slack. then if the state wants to give benefits, that's their business.

2018-11-21 01:36:32 UTC

But I've seen plenty of others who follow the same model we do and they all seem to have happy families

2018-11-21 01:36:38 UTC

and this is something most people just don't understand
pull tax records on the homes in San Francisco's Castro district
a lot of those properties pay next to nothing because ownership has been passed from spouse to spouse
and the taxable value is set on transfer

2018-11-21 01:36:51 UTC

@DrYuriMom I agree, the thing is, a high number of same-sex couples are deviants

2018-11-21 01:37:07 UTC

I mean, they promote a lot of weird things

2018-11-21 01:37:17 UTC

The 10th Amendment embers of my heart burn for you, Atkins 😽

2018-11-21 01:37:34 UTC

so, from a statistical point of view, it's not a net positive to society

2018-11-21 01:37:34 UTC

So do hetero couples

2018-11-21 01:37:45 UTC

I don't think there's been enough time to say that same-sex marriages are actually positive for family structures. Especially when those family structures have been based on a culture that uses male/female forever.

2018-11-21 01:37:52 UTC

Scientifically

2018-11-21 01:37:58 UTC

I'm doing grand jury duty right now. Lots of hetero couples are screwed up.

2018-11-21 01:38:01 UTC

If you want to talk about data
