nah sex offenders should get it too

2018-11-30 23:28:53 UTC

Beaten until critical condition and permanent damage

2018-11-30 23:28:55 UTC

Like in Ubik?

2018-11-30 23:28:55 UTC

or castration

2018-11-30 23:28:57 UTC

why keep people in prison for life?

2018-11-30 23:29:02 UTC

isn't that worse than killing them?

2018-11-30 23:29:12 UTC

and more expesnive

2018-11-30 23:29:19 UTC

Well yall have a good one

2018-11-30 23:29:26 UTC

I'm gonna go to bed

2018-11-30 23:29:28 UTC

What if you got framed? Can't pardon a dead man

2018-11-30 23:29:34 UTC

its more expensive keeping them in prison, 2 bricks slammed in the downstairs job done

2018-11-30 23:30:00 UTC

Castration doesn't stop rapists btw

2018-11-30 23:30:02 UTC

Download the criminal's consciousness and then if they're exonerated just upload to a robo body. No big deal

2018-11-30 23:30:07 UTC

@Beemann sadly thats true

2018-11-30 23:30:19 UTC

the framed point i mean

2018-11-30 23:30:28 UTC

They're both true

2018-11-30 23:30:49 UTC

But really it's far more expensive the way the US handles the death penalty to go through with that than life in prison

2018-11-30 23:30:52 UTC

i dont know about the 2nd one so i cant say either way

2018-11-30 23:30:53 UTC

@Beemann whats the longest someone has been imprisoned and then pardoned for being falsely framed

2018-11-30 23:30:54 UTC

They chemically castrated a rapist and he went after women with implements instead of his now dead johnson

2018-11-30 23:31:04 UTC

Decades iirc

2018-11-30 23:31:04 UTC

im not talking about chemical

2018-11-30 23:31:11 UTC

im talking about with bricks

2018-11-30 23:31:17 UTC

Cutting it off does the same thing

2018-11-30 23:31:28 UTC

then death for reafenders

2018-11-30 23:31:30 UTC

yes, but how many? if the max is like 50 years, then just go 50 years than death.

2018-11-30 23:31:40 UTC

The death penalty carries a lot of fucking safe checks as it should, and the cost of all that ends up being more expensive than life

2018-11-30 23:31:43 UTC

we have people who have been on death row who are innocent, how is this any different?

2018-11-30 23:32:02 UTC

@Schedrevka ive heard that being said yeah

2018-11-30 23:32:21 UTC

and if you kept someone in prison for half their life, maybe it would have been better off killing them, then giving surviving family money if he is found innocent.

2018-11-30 23:32:41 UTC

@Grenade123 i 100% agree with you there

2018-11-30 23:32:44 UTC

And as good a our justice system is in comparison to most of human history there still are mistakes that are made, and making a mistake with the death penalty is far too big a risk to take for too little to gain.

2018-11-30 23:32:44 UTC

I don't agree with the death penalty just because of the possibility of innocence

2018-11-30 23:32:58 UTC

We HAVE found people to be innocent after their executions.

2018-11-30 23:33:12 UTC

what good is releasing a man in his 80s just to live in poverty until death AND be a drain on society.

2018-11-30 23:33:19 UTC

and his family

2018-11-30 23:33:22 UTC

And what is to be gained from an execution? Some people feel slightly better that a dude is dead?

2018-11-30 23:33:24 UTC

id rather get executed and my family get paid than rotting in a prison

2018-11-30 23:33:56 UTC

@Schedrevka doesn't cost tax payer money, and you are not torturing a person anymore

2018-11-30 23:33:56 UTC

well you could ebay off pulling the switch and put it on pay per view to pay off some of the deficit

2018-11-30 23:34:36 UTC

If you're following due process of course it costs tax payer money. More than life in prison.
